Dr. Jules Gil-Peterson tapped as new Chair in Transgender Studies - Historian and author Dr. Jules Gil-Peterson is the new Chair in Transgender Studies at the University of Victoria (BC, Canada.) She is the author of Histories of the Transgender Child (2018) and A Short History of Trans Misogyny (2024) and is working on a new book on the class divides that shape the ways that people approached transition.
